Red Bull RB5 - modified rear diffuser
This illustration of the RB5's underside shows the holes (blue arrows) in the vertical wall between the step plane and the reference plane. These quite big openings feed the new double-deck diffuser, which was introduced in Monaco, but should prove more useful at Istanbul Park, with its longer straights and high-speed corners.
Force India VJM02 - additional mini rear wing
Force India have followed BMW Sauber's lead with this small, additional double wing (red arrow) in the centre of the rear wing, in the unrestricted, 15-cm wide central area. Introduced in Monaco and retained for Istanbul, it increases rear downforce.
Brawn BGP001 - new front wing
A new front wing for Brawn in Istanbul, with a single flap replacing the twin solution used in the first six races. The middle plate (left arrow) from where the movement of the adjustable flap (right arrow) is controlled is now shaped differently, allowing the whole flap to be moved, rather than just the central triangular section as was previously the case.
Ferrari F60 - rear wing modifications
In Turkey, Ferrari have introduced a second generation version of their double-decker diffuser, together with a totally new rear wing. The cut at the top of the end plate (top arrow) and the extension to the front of the end plate's lower section (lower left arrow) are both new features. In addition, the team have also attached an additional small profile (lower right arrow) to this, which falls in the central area outside of the rear-wing regulation restrictions.
Williams FW31 - revised front wing
On Friday at Istanbul Park Williams introduced a new front wing. Similar in style to the Brawn's, it features double end plates, which divert the airflow away from the front tyres. Also new is the upper flap, which now features a slot in the middle of the plane, while the main flap now has two elements in place of the previous one.
